A STYLISH MOMENT WITH ANNELI BUSH

Those of you that know me well, know that I am absolutely OBSESSED with anything and everything British. British Bloggers included…

Anneli Bush, Founder and Editor of AnneliBush.com (previously What I Bought Today), is a London based, British blogger that I have grown to admire through her daily blog, and social media posts that inspire the mix of outfits with both designer and high street brands.

Recently I had the opportunity to ask Anneli a few questions about her life, style and her blog, AnneliBush.com.

Tell us a little about your blog. What was the inspiration behind your previous blog title What I Bought Today, and what is the inspiration behind each post?

As of October 2015, my blog name changed to AnneliBush.com. My blog and each post reflects my personal style; which is one thing I never compromise on! The blog (formally known as What I Bought Today) started as a shopping blog, and since then has evolved into so much more, covering fashion, lifestyle, interiors and travel; hence the reason I decided to re-brand the site to AnneliBush.com.

If you could sum up your everyday style in three words, what would they be?

Minimal and classic with an edge.

Complete this sentence: “I feel my most stylish when…”

… I am in Paris! Which is somewhere I always go at least once a year with my husband (who is half Parisian), and I always make an extra effort sartorially to do my best to fit in with the super chic locals.

What is something that your readers would be surprised to hear about you?

Considering how much I travel, I HATE flying! I am relatively strong and confident in so many ways, but when it comes to flying I am such a wimp!

Is your blog a full time career for you? What is the secret to forming a successful blogging business?

It is now! My background lies within marketing and PR, having previously worked at the likes of Stella McCartney and Net-a-Porter, of which at the time my blog was a mere hobby. When it started to take off, I decided to leave my day job last Spring. It has taken a lot of focus, hard work and committed dedication, and I am definitely putting in more hours than previously – but it’s totally worth it. I love the feeling of working 100% for myself and being in charge of my own success. My two mottos I live by are “Work Hard, Stay Humble” and “It’s the journey, not the destination” – both being constant reminders to always be present, to appreciate, and dedicated.

What is your go to outfit when you can’t think of anything else to wear?

Depending on the season; during Fall/Winter it’s black skinny jeans, black booties, a great tailored wool coat and a fitted merino weather (in black, and shades of navy and grey). During Spring/Summer, it’s a pair of denim shorts, a silk shirt and Chanel espadrilles.

Flats or heels?

Flats, all day long! It’s all about keeping comfortable, especially as I am always on the go – and luckily, there are so many amazing styles out there, which one can easily dress up with a pair of really good flats.

What I adore about Anneli’s style is that it is classy, yet edgy, as well as aspirational for any stylish woman. This Scandinavian/Brit, sure knows knows how to style prints, patterns, colours and various outfits together perfectly, and she has a fantastic eye for adding the right accessories to any outfit.
