THE MOST DELICIOUS AND HEALTHY CARAMEL SLICE

Editors Note: This is a recipe from my gorgeous friend Georgia’s Good Health Nutrition blog. She has some delicious recipes that I’d love for you to check out, and a pretty powerful story to share with you all too. 

Last week I introduced you to a good friend of mine – Georgia, who has recently launched her Health & Nutrition website.

By the looks of things, you absolutely LOVED her Maple & Vanilla Crunchy Granola recipe (and rightly so, it’s delicious!).

I won’t go into detail about Georgia’s story, as I think the “About Me” page on her blog is one that you need to read yourself (and is a tear-jerker too!). All I will say is that Georgia is one incredible woman, who has taken adversity and turned it into a positive future for herself.

Over the next few weeks I’m going to be sharing with you a few of her recipes, and I encourage you all to check out her blog.

This week she’s sharing her “Most Delicious and Healthy Caramel Slice” recipe, and it is an absolute winner in my books!

THE MOST DELICIOUS AND HEALTHY CARAMEL SLICE 

Ingredients:

Base: ½ cup cashews, ¾ cup almonds, 4 medjool dates, 1 tbsp water, 2 tbsp vanilla powder

Caramel: ½ cup unhulled tahini, ½ cup maple syrup, pinch Himalayan rock salt.

Chocolate: ¾ cup coconut oil, ⅓ cup cacao, 2 tbsp maple syrup.

To make:

Blend each layer separately and put one on top of the other. It sets quickly in the freezer (10-20 mins).

Recommendation:

Best served before bed with a warm hot choccy and a good book!
