Canberra, the city in which I seem to be falling more in love with every day, has been slowly developing into becoming a very much sought-after place to live.

Canberra is on the rise.

There has never been a better time to live, work or invest in this glorious city. Australia’s youngest capital city truly is undergoing an unprecedented and spectacular transformation!

With developments popping up left, right and centre – there really are some incredible places in which you can live, in suburbs that are also fast becoming the hip and happening places to hang out in!

One such development that recently caught my eye is Geocon’s High Society, which will be the tallest residential tower in Canberra rising 113 metres above Lake Ginninderra. To put it quite simply – it will be the peak of luxury living in the ACT.

Geocon is Canberra’s most successful high-rise apartment developer, and has a footprint that spans the length and breadth of the city. They began building freestanding homes in the Canberra suburbs in 2007, and has since become the ACT’s leading developer of high-rise apartments, sustainable hotels and commercial spaces.

High Society is going to be one of their best developments yet, and will transform Belconnen into the pinnacle of class and sophistication.

I was recently invited into the High Society showroom, located just across the road from where the towers will be built and learnt just how INCREDIBLE this new residential development is going to be!

Designed by world leading architects, Fender Katsalidis, the development stretches high up from a luxury hotel and podiums of rich amenity.

So what are some of the features of High Society?

Well strap yourself in, because there are quite a few and each one is going to give you even MORE reason to either want to purchase your own place, or an investment property.

Sky Park: Relax in the clouds and marvel at the sunset (literally, you’ll be up high enough!) in the Sky Park. This is a spectacular rooftop available for the private use of residents and their guests with barbecues, sun lounges and a choice of open covered spaces.

Pool: Now this is what had me screaming on the inside. I mean look at it (image below). High Society’s heated outdoor pool will allow you to swim and train all year round. The pool area is surrounded by cabanas, day beds and lounges in a beautifully landscaped setting.

Wellness Centre: Imagine living in a place where there is a tranquil space to relax and revitalise – without leaving home? The High Society Wellness Centre offers a resort-standard spa, sauna, pool, gym AND yoga facilities, seven days a week.

Dining & Kitchen: A memorable setting for special occasions and celebrations, High Society offers a commercial-quality chef’s kitchen and executive dining room for the private use of residents.

Wine Cellar: The sommelier-designed wine cellar will provide a pristine home for your personal wine collection, with state of the art climate controls ensuring every bottle is kept at optimal conditions!

Kids Space: This is a creative outdoor wonderland where kids can hang out and play, seven days a week. Facilities include kids TV, games and toy areas.

Cinema: Host your own blockbuster premiere with friends and family in an intimate space of mixed lounges and bean bags.

Car Wash: Take care of your car with a designated area in the High Society car park offering complimentary high pressure washers.

Workspace: A quiet sanctuary for those who work from home, or simply a space to escape and unwind. All workspaces feature AC power, USB chargers and seating.

Concierge: Whatever you need, whenever you need it, the full in-house concierge services are available to assist High Society residents.

Observation Deck: Located at the highest point of High Society, the Observation Deck offers unparalleled views over the local district and beyond. It will be open to residents and the public.

Now, as for the actual apartment spaces, there is an abundance of choice that you will have on the look and feel of your space.

High Society allows you to style your interior finishes to your personal tastes, with a choice of three fashion-inspired design schemes.

At the display gallery, you will get to take a look at the bathroom and kitchen offerings, as well as use their interactive 3D model to take a look into what else you can expect from this incredible development.

Standing proudly at the southern edge of Lake Ginninderra, High Society is perfectly located between the University of Canberra to the east and Westfield Belconnen to the west, with both being just a short stroll away. Being located in Belconnen means that it provides easy access to the CBD and beyond, via major road and public transport networks.

Urban at Republic will also be one of Canberra’s newest precinct’s, located at the base of High Society.

It will feature an abundance of retail delights, including cafes, bars, restaurants, markets and speciality shopping, everyday.

As Geocon Founder & Managing Director Nick Georgalis has put it, “High Society is a truly first-class property to rival anything, anywhere in the world… the whole precinct is really unprecedented, with a vibrant energy thats going to be very very unique – delivering a luxury lifestyle in the heart of Canberra’s most vibrant town centre”.

Whether you’re looking to purchase your first home, investment property or simply want to learn more about this incredible development, then I encourage you to visit the High Society Sales Gallery which is now open.
