9 TROPICAL HOLIDAY ESSENTIALS

So my boyfriend Sam and I are travelling to Fiji in two weeks to celebrate our two year anniversary.

I cannot wait!!

It’s been around two years since I last traveled overseas, and this will be the first proper holiday that Sam and I have been on together. Safe to say this holiday has been a long time coming!

With the weather outlook for Fiji looking pretty damn warm and sunny (thank god), I thought it would be fitting to share with you some of the holiday style essentials I will be aiming to take with me.

Also, I cannot begin to describe how excited I am to escape the Canberra cold…

Below I have listed 9 holiday style pieces that I highly recommend bringing with you on any tropical holiday!

1. Embroidered Off-Shoulder Shirt

The off-shoulder look is definitely high on the trending agenda at the moment, and this Country Road Embroidered Off-Shoulder Shirt is perfect for channeling a chic boho vibe. With it’s pin tucking at the cuffs and embroidered detailing, this makes for the perfect go-to holiday shirt, and can also be worn back home for both work and play!

2. Pair of Blue Denim Shorts

We all know that a pair of blue denim shorts (or two) are super necessary for holiday wear. I like these River Island Denim Shorts because they have a vintage style light blue wash, are high waisted and have pockets – best of all is that they are super affordable too!

3. A Pair of Espadrilles

Espadrilles are always necessary for summer holidays as they are perfect for pairing with pretty much any outfit, and provide a really chic alternative to slides and flats. These See By Chloe suede and leather espadrilles feature a thick ankle strap and rubber sole finish, which makes them perfect for wearing anywhere. 卥牶敲䍨絹硣桁汯繯pÑǒ뽠䨀

4. A Wrap-Tie Dress

Wrap dresses are perfect for wearing when you just don’t know what else to wear, as you know they’ll always fit and look good on you. This Forever New Self Wrap Dress is a modern shirt dress that has unique tie front detail and a polished finish. Great for styling during warm evenings, and with a pair of cute slides!

5. A Woven Beach Tote

To save myself from having to carry everything to the beach in my hands, I must remember to purchase a decent beach tote!! This Sensi Studio Woven Beach Tote is gorgeous with its bead-embellished, woven detail and looks ideal for taking me from the beach to late night cocktails in style.

6 & 7. A patterned combo set

I absolutely love wearing patterned combo sets over the holiday season, and this Seed Patterned Tassel Top and Patterned Tassel Skirt is absolutely great for summer tropical holiday wear. Both the skirt and top feature tassel detailing and a loose fit. Style with a pair of black espadrilles and minimalist accessories.

8. A Straw Boater Hat

The Lack of Colour Straw Boater is a natural straw structured hat with chic black bow detailing. This one is great for every day holiday wear, and you’ll find yourself wearing it over and over. By the way, these hats aren’t just reserved for the gondolier’s in Venice!

9. Black Full Piece Swimsuit

It’s funny how back when I was in primary school wearing full piece swimsuits was IN, throughout high school they were definitely out, and now they’re back in again! I absolutely love this Tigerlily Oui Lace-Up One Piece with it’s low back and lace-up detail. Perfect for all day, everyday beach wear.

As I always say, each of these items can also be paired with each other, which is even better considering when packing for a holiday, you need to be condensing your wardrobe and suitcase!

For instance, the Country Road Embroidered Shirt can be paired with both the River Island Denim Short, and Seed Tassel Skirt. You could also style the See By Chloe Espadrilles with all the outfits here too!

See? The options are endless!

Do you have a holiday coming up? If so, where are you headed?
