My Mum is my best friend.
She’s the person I go to for anything and everything – advice, a hug, a shoulder to cry on or complain to.
I think it would also be safe to say that Mum probably knows me better than I know myself, and even when I question her thoughts or opinion, I know that 9/10 she’s probably right.
Being an only child means that whilst Mum is my Mum, she also at times plays the role of a sister/sibling figure – which sometimes I love, and other time’s I find hard – but every day I am ever so grateful for the wonderful relationship that we have.
This Mothers Day I’m making a conscious effort to be grateful for the friendship and close relationship that Mum and I have, as I know that others aren’t as lucky.
This Mothers Day is going to be a special one for Mum and I.
We are heading up to Sydney for a girls weekend, to shop, head to the theatre and spend some quality time with one another.
I’ve already purchased Mum her gifts this year from my local Westfield (I got in early for once!), but for those who are still struggling with gift ideas, take a look at my gift guide below.
My Mum instilled a good skincare routine into me from a very young age, and it’s something that I always prioritise each and every day. If your Mum is like mine, then she’ll love and be very thankful for receiving the latest and greatest in good quality skin care products. Top brands that Mum and I like to shop for include Clinique, Estee Lauder, KORA Organics and Laura Mercier.
When I think candles and stationary, I automatically look to Kikki K who stock a wide range of gorgeous stationary and candle collections, that are both affordable and perfect for a gift for Mum this Mothers Day. You can never go past a delicious smelling candle, and diaries, notepads and organisational stationary are always must-have’s for any Mum.
You can never go wrong with a voucher for a luxurious massage or facial – what Mum doesn’t like a bit of pampering? My Mum loves a good quality facial once in a while, so I know that this is the perfect gift for her.
A GOOD QUALITY BOOK
Have a Mum that likes to read? Books are fantastic gifts, as thought really does go into which books you choose for whoever you are purchasing for. I come from a family of readers, and lovers of books – so these always make great gifts each Mothers Day. Writing cute messages on the front of the covers are also a great way to store memories too!
A PAMPER PACK
Pamper packs that you can put together yourself, always make for great gifts. Think a fluffy dressing gown, slippers, new pyjamas, candles, or good quality body moisturiser, so that she can pamper herself at home. Gift wrap it all together nicely with some cute wrapping.
Each of these items can be found at your local Westfield Shopping Centre
