Editors note: I was invited as a guest to experience three skin sessions with Laser Clinics Australia.
It has been roughly one month since my first skin treatment with Laser Clinics Australia, and I think it’s safe to say that I am absolutely hooked!
Last weekend I had my second appointment with the very delightful Sharon at my local Westfield Woden Laser Clinic, where I experienced my second Microdermabrasion.
For those of you that haven’t read My Skin Story: Part One, a Microdermabrasion is a treatment that is designed to improve the texture and quality of your skin. It is ideal for tackling dry, dull or rough skin, as it exfoliates your skin and removes all the old dead skin cells.
In Part One of my experience, I explained that I was pretty disgusted that there was a big layer of dead skin on my face (no secret’s here!) but I was relieved to find out that the whole point of a Microdermabrasion is to remove these dead skin cells and make way for fresh and healthy skin. By the way, having a layer of dead skin on your face is totally normal, but not ideal.
Believe me when I say that four weeks post my first Microdermabrasion treatment, my skin looked and felt fresh and healthy.
I have never been into layering on makeup, and I am used to only having a light layer of makeup on my face, just to cover small blemishes. However post my first Microdermabrasion four weeks ago, and now post my second appointment; I have found that I no longer even need to cover these blemishes – because they have disappeared!
As I explained before, I had my second Microdermbrasion appointment last week, and this time it was a similar process to the last, except with an added tea tree treatment. To be honest, I actually found this latest Microdermabrasion treatment to be more effective than the first one. Once the face peel was applied, my skin tingled and tingled for a good 10 minutes, and it actually felt like it was working on my face!
Post treatment, I was a little red in the face, but come the evening – I was looking as fresh as ever!
I am still using the complimentary Skinstitut products that I received from my first appointment, and I cannot recommend the L-Lactic Cleanser highly enough – it is super soft on the skin, and works an absolute treat in cleansing my face morning and evening. What I highly recommend for anyone, even if you are already happy with your current skin routine, is the Skinstitut Multi Active Mist.
This hydrating mist deeply hydrates and nourishes the face and improves radiance, texture and tone. I find that spritzing myself with this mist every morning and night post cleansing, gives it a great boost and reduces any inflammation I may have.
If you’re experiencing tired, dry, dull skin (especially as we move into winter), then I recommend you take advantage of Laser Clinics Australia’s latest promotion – the ‘Pigmentation Free Promotion’. It includes 3x Skinstitut products of choice, 2x Express Microdermabrasions, 1x Peel Accelerator, 2x Full Face Pigmentation Laser, 1x Purple Peel.
This package WAS $747, but is now an incredible $490, and believe me when I say that it is worth every cent– I even convinced my Grandma to have one!
A massive thanks again to the beautiful Sharon who is my consultant at Laser Clinics Australia, Westfield Woden.
