Sneakers really are sneaky little creatures. Why? Because only a couple of years ago were they deemed super dooper uncool and dorky to wear (especially with jeans), and now – it’s totally okay to wear them all day any day, even out to dinner! I would say that this is partly thanks to the relaunch of the Adidas Stan Smiths – which are probably THE MOST comfortable sneakers you could own. I can vouch in saying that these bad boys are super comfortable, well fitted and great for everyday wear.
Most of you know me well and know that being only 159cm tall means that heels are always my shoe of choice. I was never a sneakers girl until I purchased a pair of my own Adidas Stan Smiths.
So if even you’re a heel devotee, I recommend you check out some of favourite pairs of sneakers below, and see if even just one pair suit your fancy?
Adidas Originals Superstar White & Black Trainers: AUD $147
These feature a smooth leather upper, lace closure and Adidas branding on the side and heel. The black and white style is great for pair with literally anything in your wardrobe – I mean it, even that LBD you have, you can wear these with it!
Seed Heritage Andi Glitter Sneaker: AUD $79.95
This is a gorgeous lace up, glitter sneaker with a fabric upper and synthetic lining and sole. These come in a dark silver too!
Lipsy Anna Nude Embellished Sneaker Trainers: AUD $103
I love a sneaker with a detailed cap toe, so these Lipsy Anna’s have my name written all over them! They are the perfect combination of sophisticated and quirky, feature a lace up fastening and canvas upper.
ASOS DODGEMS Flatform Trainers: AUD $52
If you need a little height, then these are the trainers for you. The ASOS DODGEMS feature a flatform sole, metallic look leather upper and lace closure. I can see myself pairing these with a longline grey cardigan with black skinny jeans.
Adidas Originals Off White Suede Superstar Trainers: AUD $200
Ahhhh the perfect sneaker. These Adidas trainers feature a higher style that covers the lower ankle, metallic cap toe, suede upper and shaped and padded cuff detailing. The off white makes them great for pair with white skinny jeans.
Did you see any you like? Just one tip, don’t purchase sneakers that have a velcro closure… need I say more?
