WHAT I WORE – THE COMMANDER SHIRT

I’m a sucker for any garment that is structured.

Whether it be a structured shirt, pair of pants or jacket- if it sits on me and forms a fitted and structured shape, I’m in.

One particular shirt I have found that fits my requirements structured garment requirements, is the Asilio “The Commander” Shirt in khaki.

I found this shirt a few months ago and as usual, added it into my shopping cart and then removed it around 10 times before I finally decided to make the purchase (when it was on sale too from The Con-nection).

This is certainty a button up shirt with a twist, as it features a front bib-style layer that buttons onto the front shoulders (and is removable too!),  and it has some seriously strong military vibes. This shirt also has a concave shape that curves down towards the back hem.

I absolutely LOVE the layered front piece, which makes it versatile and adds an extra touch of uniqueness to the overall look.

I decided to go “all out’ and pair this shirt with a similarly coloured pair of Sass and Bide jeans that I have owned for yeeeeeeears, and still wear regularly.

Seriously, if you’re looking for a pair of jeans that will last and fit you properly, then take a look at Sass and Bide’s range of denim. These are the only brand of jeans that I don’t have to get altered to fit me as their length is just right.

Finally, I completed the look with my favourite pair of leopard print boots from Rubi Shoes. These are unfortunately no longer available in store, however I have listed some alternative styles below.

These boots add a touch of print and colour to the outfit.
