You may have noticed that there are A LOT of blush pink tones being introduced at the moment.
And for the record – I’m all for it!
Let’s just say that it’s a colour that’s going to be around for quite a while.
However, it’s not the easiest of colours to inject into your wardrobe.
In fact, as gorgeous as it is, many tend not to wear it for fear that they may not know how to wear it well, or what to wear it with.
Take a read later on in this post on how to inject this gorgeous colour into your wardrobe – the right way.
This outfit was inspired by a gorgeous blush pink blouse that I received from Forcast. This blouse features a minimal design with a high neck and gathered detail for subtle sophistication.
What I love most is it’s gathered detailing on the neckline, as well as the cuffs and lightweight look and feel!
This is one of those blouses that looks both great tucked into a pencil skirt, or worn out with a pair of denim jeans.
It’s a versatile piece that I can see anyone wearing to both work, and on the weekend.
Now, these jeans are an absolute favourite of mine.
They are an older pair that I was gifted a little while ago and feature a vintage inspired look, mid-rise fit, straight leg, and a raw hemline. Oh, and the comfort factor is 10/10!!
What I love about these jeans is that they are completely different to ones that I would normally choose to wear too.
And these sleek shoes? Well they are a super comfy pair from Hush Puppies!
Crafted from super soft leather, these modern mules combine the comfort of a low heel with the ease of a slide. With a minimalistic design, plush comfort and a flexible sole, they make for an effortless style statement.
And finally, this The Horse clutch is my latest accessory find, and is crafted from a super smooth Italian leather.
The blush and nude colour is a great way to inject this new tone into your wardrobe!
Now, let’s talk about how to wear blush pink!
Use some texture to tone it down
This is the main technique I have used with this outfit.
By pairing the blush pink blouse with the textured denim jeans, the outfit has been given less of a “pretty in pink” look, and turned it more on the grungy side.
Inject blush pink through accessories
If you’re a little hesitant to wear the colour, then try and inject it via accessories first.
There are a variety of blush pink shoes, clutches, and jewellery accessories which mean you can subtly start incorporating it into your wardrobe.
Wear a darker style to appear less feminine
Another way for you to wear this colour without appearing too feminine, is by wearing it in a darker shade.
There are shades of blush pink that lean on the darker side, which are also great if you want to opt for a grungy look instead!
