WHAT I WORE – COMFORT IS KEY

I love being comfortable.

Not comfortable as in trackies and sweat pants, but comfortable as in looking chic, polished and feeling ‘comfortable’ in my own skin.

The Country Road Waist Sleeveless Dress makes me feel exactly like this – comfortable and chic.

I absolutely love a good knitted dress in autumn/winter, and this is a really flattering garment that has quickly become one of my favourites!

This super soft and suuuuuper comfortable dress features a soft wool and cotton blend, and has a wide self-tie belt knot at the front, that cinches in at the waist. This makes it perfect for styling as you can decide whether you want to tie it tighter for a more structured look, or leave it loose for a more relaxed feel.

I have styled this look with my even-more-comfortable H&M black mules, which I purchased three years ago in Florence. These babies have taken me through many seasons, and are a great go-to when I’m looking for a comfortable and easy to style shoe.

These mules balance out the length of this dress with their rounded ankle and buckle strap. Even when wearing these shoes day in and day out at work, I have never experienced any foot pain – bonus!

I have completed the look with another comfortable accessory, my Lack of Colour black felt hat. This is a great autumn/winter only accessory, as I find that when I wear it in summer, my head gets seriously hot and sweaty!

When the weather becomes a little cooler, I am envisioning this dress paired with a long sleeved shirt underneath – watch this space!

Do you have a go-to outfit that you feel comfortable and polished in?
