A 24 HOUR GETAWAY TO BANNISTERS MOLLYMOOK

The year so far for me has been absolutely full on.

From getting through a breakup at the beginning of the year, to throwing myself head first into continuing to build up my blog and working on my business Dak & Co; it’s already the end of August and I’m wondering where the heck this year has gone!

Anyone else feeling the same?

With so much interstate travel happening for me throughout the first half of this year (and two overseas trips to look forward to at the end of this year), when a staycation at Bannisters by the Sea in Mollymook popped up, I literally jumped at the opportunity.

Any excuse to head down the coast to one of Australia’s most sought after staycation destinations, right?

Perched clifftop with sprawling ocean views, Bannisters by the Sea is a stunning coastal retreat.

By stunning, I also mean breathtaking, mouth dropping, and SO instagram worthy (did you see my many Instagram stories? Sorry, I just couldn’t help myself!).

The Bannisters by the Sea property combines dramatic cliff-top views overlooked by luxury accommodation and superb dining to ensure guests have a restful stay, right on the edge of the spectacular southern New South Wales coastline and the Pacific Ocean.

Just a 2.5 hour drive from Canberra, Bannisters actually has two properties in the picture-esq Mollymook; Bannisters by the Sea and Bannisters Pavilion.

Both properties provide an exceptional range of features, and the customer service as well as in-room and hotel features are top of the line.

I’m honestly not joking when I say that when staying at Bannisters by the Sea, you feel like you’re in another world!

Literally, as soon as you enter the driveway and venture into Reception, you feel relaxed, calm and seriously ready to dip yourself into all that Bannisters has to offer (including their infinity pool which looks out to the ocean!).

I was lucky enough to be able to bring my beautiful Mum along for the 24 hour staycation, and we both agreed that we will most definitely be returning again soon!

After checking in on a relatively warm Sunday afternoon, we ventured straight down to the very well known (and again, Instagram worthy) infinity pool which ripples out towards the Pacific Ocean.

To say that it is simply breathtaking is an understatement, and I could definitely see myself spending some warm summer afternoons here. The pool is located at the Pool Bar, which is a great spot for an afternoon aperitif, and on this particular occasion we sat inside and watched the afternoon storm roll in and out – was quite blissful really!

I then explored around the Bannisters grounds and surrounding area, before Mum and I headed to dinner at Bannisters Pavilion, which is less than a kilometre from Bannisters by the Sea.

Every room, suite and the two truly exceptional penthouses (recently redesigned by Collette Dinnigan) at Bannisters by the Sea, features airy neutral tones and a clean design. The view from our room was straight out to the ocean, and provided a spectacular viewing point at sunset too (scroll down to see!).

On Monday, after a blissful and restful nights sleep, we spent the rest of our time at Bannisters enjoying an incredible breakfast at Rick Stein at Bannisters, and had a final explore of the area before it was sadly time to head home.

Mollymook truly is a beautiful part of the world.

Having only visited here a handful of times, I can easily see why its becoming a sought after place to visit both during the peak and off season months.

I love the shape of the coastline in the area, and the fact that its so easy to get around. Bannisters also provides bikes for guests too, but the beach is only a short walk away.

Bannisters by the Sea is a stunning coastal retreat. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves below and wake refreshed and ready to enjoy all that Bannisters has to offer!

This is honestly the perfect place to relax, unwind and re-set your mind, body and soul.

I was hosted by Bannisters by the Sea. Thank you for having me!
