Having good quality friendships is extremely important.
Apart from the fact that having good friends increases your happiness, boosts your feeling of self worth, and gives you a sense of belonging and purpose; they are also there to help you through life up’s and downs too.
They are there for you when you need a shoulder to cry on, or someone to laugh with, or even when you just need company!
I hold all of my friendships very close to my heart, as I’m sure most of you do too.
Being an only child means that I grew up having my friends as my family. In a way, I got to choose who my siblings were!
Some of my bestest friends are ones that I met in Primary school, while others are ones I’ve only met in the past few years.
What I love most about my friendships is that I know I can count on any of my girlfriends, when ever I need their love, support or guidance – and they know I would do the same for them too.
When Australian clothing and accessories label Forever New, approached me to see if I would be interested in showcasing some of their new season looks at Floriade with some of my close friends, I jumped at the opportunity!
One of the fastest growing Australian brands, Forever New emerged in late 2006 as a start up retailer and now trades over 250 stores in ten countries globally.
The brand celebrates the feminine beauty of women, a signature style flowing through every creative element, and it’s a brand that I know well and have worn for many years.
Besides the fact that they are an iconic Australian brand that is suitable for women of any age, the Forever New team works collaboratively to create unique harmonious collections, presented beautifully in elegant store environments for the shopping pleasure of their customers.
This was by far one of my favourite photoshoots.
Why? Because it combined some of my closest friends, with beautiful fashion by a brand that we each wear and love!
We were lucky enough to be dressed by the Forever New Canberra Centre store for our morning at Floriade (by the way, that’s Canberra’s annual flower festival!).
Georgia (far left in the blue floral), Emily (in the red) and Ash (in the pink floral), each got to choose their own looks.
What I love about each of the outfits is that they encapsulate each of the girls individual style.
The floral dresses are perfect for spring, featuring watercolour style floral prints that are delicate and feminine, and the red lace midi dress is a perfectly glamorous option for your next soiree with its fitted silhouette and woven floral lace fabrication.
These outfits are not only ideal for a day out with friends – but can also be worn for the upcoming spring racing carnival too!
