Technically it’s spring – so time to put those coats away (maybe not if you live in Canberra), and pull out your coloured prints, patterns and spring inspired outfits!
In order to avoid steering towards to same old floral prints this season, why not try some block and pastel colours instead? Both of these are great for making a statement, and are easy to interchange with other pieces in your wardrobe.
If you’re already confused and feeling a little lost with what to wear this spring, then take a look at my 8 Spring Fling Fashion picks below!
1. A playsuit
Add some military-inspired style into your spring wardrobe with this Forever New Khaki Belted Playsuit.
With a style inspired by a sleek military menswear look, this playsuit features a beautiful khaki fabric, d-ring waist belt, four front pockets, and a box pleat style for comfortable wear. Great for an off duty weekend look.
2. A Pair of Suede Heels
Suede heels are IN and here to stay.
These Tony Bianco Storm Kid Suede Heels feature a peeptoe block heel with thick open layered strapping that fits around the ankle. These have the perfect height for styling both up and down depending on the occasion, and are a colour that will go with most pieces in your wardrobe.
3. A White Bell Sleeve Top
When the weather gets warmer, it’s always good to have some lightweight, white shirts that drape beautifully over your body.
This Witchery Cross Over Flutter Sleeve Shirt is ideal for any occasion and features a cross over drape fit, V neckline with delicate tie feature and bell sleeves. For a perfect, 70’s inspired look, pair with the River Island Silver Mini Skirt!
4. A Silver Mini Skirt
If you’re like me and love to channel a retro look, then you’ll be drawn to this River Island Silver Mini Skirt.
With it’s metallic fabric, fitted waistband and chic mini length, this is the perfect skirt for a girls night out, or weekend away in the city. Perfect for pair with the Witchery Cross Over Flutter Sleeve Shirt.
5. A Broderie Dress
A flattering broderie dress is a must have item in any spring wardrobe.
This Country Road Broderie Mid Dress features a flattering shape, with beautiful keyhole detailing. The waisted silhouette and V-neckline will flatter any body shape. This is a perfect, affordable dress for the spring carnival too!
6. A Pair of Rose Gold Pumps
I’ve decided that I need to add more coloured pumps into my life and steer away from the black, so these River Island Rose Gold Pump’s are next on my shopping list.
They feature a rose gold upper, pointed toe, and mid length heel height. Perfect for pair with the Country Road Broderie Dress, for race day wear.
7. A Pair of Round Sunglasses
I’ve never been a fan of round shaped sunglasses, but these Epokhe Poezd Sunglasses from Haus of Palm are slowly growing on me.
They feature a round, matte black frame with silver detailing, have 100% UV protection, optical quality and are scratch resistant.
8. A Tote Bag (that isn’t black)
Tote bags are great for both weekend use, and for when you’re wanting to change up your usual every day bag.
This Witchery Shalini Tote Bag features a structured shape, zip top close, and an internal zip and phone compartment. The removable strap also makes it great for options whilst wearing.
What I love about spring is that you have the ability to mix and match outfits, and interchange particular items. My top tip for when you’re assessing your wardrobe for this season, is to ensure that you have the basics sorted first, and then build from there. This will ensure that you have plenty of items that will go with those statement pieces that you want to purchase.
