If you’ve been watching the street style feeds lately, or been into most high street stores, you would have seen this checkered print all over!
Originally I wasn’t going to buy into this trend.
But then I caved when I found this dress, and put this outfit together.
Let’s just say it’s the perfect mix of preppy vs cool – PLUS it’s a great look for both work and weekend wear.

This shift style dress comes in a classic grey and navy check, making it perfect for all year round.
Like I said, you can either wear it alone during summer or underneath a turtle neck in winter for the perfect preppy look.
The gold toned straps at the top of the dress also add a nice touch as well.
The Bell Sleeve Top is from Miss Selfridge, a brand that I became very familiar with when I was visiting London a few years ago.
It’s a British brand that is known for it’s affordable, on trend pieces, and they offer a great range of go-to looks for when you’re in a trend-following mood. This top is a classic style, with a quirky twist.
The bell sleeves add a touch of drama, and point of interest to the look.
The knit itself is super snug, and the graphic white sporting stripes make it easy to style with other elements. It’s a great one for pairing underneath dresses this winter!
As for the boots, these are new favourites of mine from Wittner.
