Lately I’ve been trying to experiment with my wardrobe more.
I think its because its SO cold outside and I am sick of seeing the colour black everywhere, on everyone.
In attempting to be more adventurous with my wardrobe, I’m starting to wear colours that I would never thought I’d see myself wearing…including the colour red!
For some reason, I have never really gravitated towards purchasing items that are of this colour, purely because I had reserved them in my head for women who have blonde hair – unlike myself who is very much a brunette!
However, I recently stumbled across this red, pink, black and white sweater in H&M when I was doing a recent shop in Sydney for some adventurous outfits, and KNEW that it was a sweater that was going to be coming home with me (it was also a bargain so obviously fell into my purchase basket straightaway…)
What I love about this sweater is not only its colour, but also its material and shape.
It’s a tighter fitting sweater, designed for wearing underneath a jacket, blazer or vest for maximum effect.
I opted to pair it with a simple black, long-line vest, which also jazzes the look up a notch.
This vest is one of those that you’ll see me wearing over and over – it’s comfortable, flattering and literally goes with everything I own. Okay, maybe not my trackies – but you get what I mean!
On the bottom, I styled the look with my new favourite pair of denim jeans from The Fifth Label. I was totally unsure of these jeans when I first found them, but when I tried them on they fitted perfectly in all the right places!
They sit well on the hips, and have a great straight line fit, making them perfect for pairing with both heeled boots or flats.
I couldn’t go past tying the look together with a red clutch, which I think brings the red theme out of the sweater, and works well with the blue denim and black vest – what do you think?
Get the look!
