WHAT I WORE: THE BAKER BOY HAT

While there are still a few weeks left of summer, my fashion eyes are already set towards Autumn/Winter trends.

To be more specific my eyes are actually looking straight towards hats and caps, and in particular, the Baker Boy hat trend.

I’ve wanted to try the trend for a while now.

But, I had no idea whether it would make me look like a train conductor, or give me a cute French style look!

Rising to popularity at the turn of the century, Baker Boy hats are having a major moment yet again.

With options in wool, leather, corduroy and more, there really is a Baker Boy hat style for every person and every outfit.

The trend works well with pretty much anything – denim, leather or maxi dresses, like this one I have styled here.

This Maxi Tea Dress is one that features a cute polka dot print, fit and flare shape, as well as added stretch for comfort!

So, how does one wear a Baker Boy hat without looking like a train conductor or bus driver?

Fake it till you make it: Forget how silly you may feel wearing this style, and absolutely flaunt it! Wear it with confidence and it’ll shine throughout your entire outfit.

Keep it simple: The hat itself is a statement piece, so style it with a pair of chic jeans and a tee, or a cute dress and really keep it as simple as you can.

Keep your hair simple: The more you complicate the hair do, the more the hat will appear a little too OTT. Keep it simple with a sleek straight look, or your natural waves.
