I am absolutely loving wearing the colour red at the moment.
With it’s rich shade, this is a colour that I haven’t always been drawn towards, until recently when I saw it starting to appear in stores and in trend reports.
From runways to the streets, the colour red is spreading from jumpers to jackets, to shoes and accessories.
It’s a colour that screams power, sophistication and well and truly makes you stand out.
Whether it’s already your favourite colour to wear, or you’re like me and have only just jumped on the bandwagon of wearing this shade; here are a few tips on how to incorporate it into your wardrobe.
Wear Red On The Top OR Bottom
Not ready to wear red all over? Good, cause most people aren’t and that can be really difficult to do!
Instead, I suggest focusing on choosing either your top or bottom half to wear the colour and leave it at that. Whether it be a red knit, or t-shirt on top, or a pair of pants (even black ones with red detailing), this is a great way to wear the trend.
Balance it out with neutral tones for the rest of the look.
Red Jackets Are Key
A red jacket, whether it be in a light or dark shade, should be a staple in every wardrobe. A red jacket will always jazz up any look. Whether it be in trench, knit or blazer form this is another great way to incorporate the trend.
If this is the way you go, then keep the rest of the outfit quite minimal – either pairing it with black, white or denim.
Red Accessories
This is probably the easiest way to wear this trend – simply through accessories. Being such a versatile colour, red really will suit anyone so if you don’t feel like wearing a red outfit, why not try wearing red accessories instead?
Try a pair of red heels, cute bag or clutch or even just a red necklace!
Now, onto the outfit!
This is one that features both comfort and class.

I’ve paired the jacket with this cute SHEIN t-shirt and pair of Tobi denim jeans which have been an absolute staple of mine lately.
What I love most about these jeans is that they are high-rise, making them ideal for pairing with a cute, statement belt and tucked in shirt.
To complete the look, I’ve added this super chic Review bag with it’s gold detailing, Big W red mules which were an absolute bargain AND are a perfect way to add a touch of red if you’re feeling uneasy about wearing the trend as well.
Jewellery wise – I’ve recently become obsessed with wearing necklaces from Royalla Haus.
Their necklaces are perfect for layering to create texture and tone. I literally wear mine every day now!
