I have come to love the colour olive.
Yes there is such thing, and it is just like the colour of an actual green olive.
A few years ago I purchased a green olive blazer, which closely resembled a Balmain blazer (but was way cheaper), that I had lusted over for a while, but knew I could never afford.
This blazer has now become a serious wardrobe staple of mine, and today I opted to pair it with a similar coloured skirt, and go all out with the olive green!
I will admit, I was a little hesitant when I first put this outfit on.
Why? Because it was combining two very interesting and very different shades of green. However, I think I made them work by styling the darker colour on the bottom, and balancing it out with the lighter colour on top. What do you think?
I have found that the trick to styling a co-ord outfit that incorporates similar colours, is to balance it out with a neutral middle colour – such as this white shirt and white(ish) ankle boots.
Incorporating both of these elements ensure’s that the outfit doesn’t verge on being OTT!
