WHAT I WORE – WINTER IS COMING…

Winter is well and truly on it’s way to Canberra, and if the weather we experienced this weekend is anything to go by, then we are in for a lonnnngggg and cold winter.

But that’s okay – us Canberran’s are used to it, right?

To slowly get myself into the mood for winter dressing, I recently teamed up with London based knitwear designer, Adeela Salehjee to showcase her range of knits, which are not only beautiful, but also super warm and versatile too!

In today’s post, I’m sharing with you a beautiful cardigan, which is perfect for the trans-seasonal weather we experience in-between autumn and winter.

Who agrees that there is nothing worse than wearing a knit that is super scratchy or tough on the skin? Yep, no thanks!

What attracted me to Adeela’s knitwear was that the knits just feeeeeeeel SO GOOD and are super soft – no itchiness whatsoever.

Adeela’s concept behind her designs is to create special, yet timeless pieces that are targeted towards those who have an appreciation for good quality products that are comfortable, elegant and functional.

The Meribel Navy Cardigan is a trans-seasonal cardigan constructed of 85% Cotton, and 15% Cashmere. It features a pop of colour with the blue hearts on the front and sleeve, as well as five buttons down the centre.

This is most definitely a perfect winter layering piece, ideal for pairing with a casual pair of jeans and sneakers – aka, a great weekend look.

I opted to pair this cardigan with just that – a casual pair of jeans and sneakers, as well as a crisp white tee, to split up the blue tones.

Can I just say that these Atmos & Here denim frayed jeans are absolute perfection? I’ve wanted a pair of frayed jeans for quite some time now, and stumbled across these just recently on The Iconic.

What I love about them is that they are straight leg, and super snug. The frayed hemlines are also quite subtle too and not OTT.

What I like most about this look is that it is SO comfortable.

Cardigans are always easy to just throw on over a simple t-shirt, and pair of jeans – and ones that have pockets are even better!

Also, I’m going to try and get away with wearing this type of outfit as much as I can before it gets too cold…

Get the look!
