I certainly have!
So often we as consumers will purchase a product, but never actually think about where it has come from, who has picked it from the warehouse, or who has packaged it up and sent it to us.
Recently, Birdsnest launched ‘The Nest Experience‘, an opportunity for people to travel down to their headquarters in Cooma, NSW and take part in the full Birdsnest experience.
The Birdsnest mission is to solve women’s wardrobe dilemmas by providing personalised styling advice, express delivery, styled outfit inspiration, above-and-beyond customer service, no-hassle returns and a vast range of brands and sizes for all body shapes
Whether you’re a local customer who lives in Cooma, or a longtime fan of the brand, the Birdsnest ‘Nest Experience’ is an exclusive experience that includes a tour of the business, a delicious lunch, and an intimate group styling session.
I was recently invited to take part in this wonderful experience so that I could share it with you all, and I guarantee you’ll want to book tickets for the next round of tours!
The tour involves three different elements:
- a detailed tour of Birdsnest HQ,
- a delicious group lunch; and
- a styling session in the Birdsnest store!
The Tour
The tour kicks off with an introduction and background on Birdsnest.
This is a great way to start the tour as it sets the tone and gives you a little more information about the business, before you actually get to see the nitty gritty of it all.
From there, your tour guide (we had the lovely Tahlia from the PR & Marketing team) will walk you through the business operations, giving you an insight into the different elements of the business and overall workplace culture.
Some of my favourite elements of the experience included:
- seeing the process and behind the scenes of the product photoshoots,
- walking through the rows of stock in the warehouse (where all the products are stored); and
- learning about the process they use when a customer makes an order, to how its packaged and dispatched.
I honestly find all this stuff so fascinating!
Lunch
After the tour concludes, you then get to enjoy a DELICIOUS Birdsnest picking plate prepared by one of the in-house chefs.
Theres the opportunity to sip champagne and chat with the other lovely ladies who are part of the tour, as well as the Birdsnest team members.
We were also lucky enough to be joined by Jane Cay, the Founder of Birdsnest.
It was fantastic to meet her and hear her talk about all things Birdsnest and the process of building her own successful company.
Styling Session
After lunch, you are then treated to a personal shopping experience run by an experienced Birdsnest stylist who will act as your very own wardrobe wingbird.
The Birdsnest store staff are highly skilled and equally just as friendly, and are super helpful when it comes to picking out pieces from the collection.
What makes the Birdsnest shopping experience so popular with both locals and those travelling from interstate, is the fact that you will find a beautiful and curated selection of the latest items in store, AND you can access items from their entire website by using exciting new technology in store.
There are laptops located around the store (and iPads in the change rooms) which you can use to browse the website and select which items you would like to be brought up from the warehouse, into the change room for you to TRY ON!
Yes, that’s right…
You can select anything you want to try on – as many items as you like!

In the last 5 years, the Birdsnest team has grown from 5 people to around 140 people.
From taking part in this experience, it was clear that every member of the Birdsnest team absolutely LOVE what they do, and are passionate about every aspect of their job.
Throughout the tour we met members of the customer service, dispatch, warehouse, marketing, and store team (even their resident dog, Winnie), each of them so happy to have us there and show us just how fantastic this business truly is.
