Today is the first day where it well and truly feels like autumn.
I’ve got the heater blasting next to me, my dog Rex lying at my feet, and a cup of tea on my desk waiting to cool down.
Quite often at this time of year we swap out our summer wardrobe, for pieces that we need for the cooler change.
This could also mean treating yourself to a new wardrobe too!
One store that I love to visit at this time of year is Birdsnest.

This is an outfit that I saw styled on the Birdsnest website and KNEW I had to add to my wardrobe.
It features three pieces that are super versatile and could each be worn with other items in your wardrobe too.
Let’s start with the ‘My Admiral Jacket’.
This is a divine military style jacket in a sand colour, making it ideal for pairing with all of your current wardrobe favourites, from wintery jeans to spring dresses.
The stand collar and stud detailing to the cuff also add a modern touch and fashion forward flair.
One can never have too many jumpers right? ESPECIALLY when you live in one of the coldest parts of the country!
The ‘Roll With Me Jumper’ is a heavenly soft knit (honestly it’s SO soft against the skin), that features a rolled turtle neck and horizontal knit detailing.
The fact that it’s in ivory too means two things:
- It’ll go with literally anything in your wardrobe; and
- It’s probably a colour knit you don’t already own which means you should add it to your cart immediately!
Wide leg jeans can be difficult for me to wear (being short and petite), however these ‘Strolling Along Wide Leg Jeans’ with their mid-wash colouring and gold button detailing and stitching these are something special.
They feature a high rise fit, double button closure and a wide leg.
PLUS they come with a little give so gone are the days where it takes 10 minutes to struggle into your favourite pair of jeans!
