WHAT I WORE – CHANNELING AUTUMN VIBES

So it’s the last month of summer – and yes I am devastated!

I am a summer baby. Being born in February means that I LIVE for the sun, warmth, longer days and warmer evenings.

I am also THAT person that actually enjoys sleeping in 30 degree heat with just the fan on! I know, I know, I’m a little insane.

Obviously as a blogger, it’s important to keep up with whats happening, and plan at least 3 months ahead for post ideas, shoots etc – otherwise you can easily fall behind the 8 ball.

So, although it is still summer, my blogger brain is already looking towards (note – not looking forward to might I add), autumn and winter, and shooting looks in preparation for the season change. This included shooting my latest look on a steaming hot Sunday afternoon in 40 degree heat!

But you do what you gotta do… and it was super fun to shoot, so it was worth it!

I’ve decided that I’m going to be a lot more adventurous in autumn this year. Which means I’ll try experimenting with new textures, colours, shapes and styles of fit.

Considering winter is most definitely reserved for darker outfits, and an almost depressing wardrobe state; I’m going to try my best to be as adventurous as possible, and attempt to continue to channel that all throughout winter too (we’ll see how we go…).

One look that I’m particularly loving at the moment is ruffles and texture.

I snagged this bargain H&M ruffle shirt recently in Sydney, and love that it’s such a great versatile piece that I can wear both to work, and on weekends and casually too.

I love not only how ruffles look, but also how they make me feel when I wear them!

Denim wise – I’ve become obsessed with Australian brand, Bohemian Traders after kindly being gifted a pair of their denim jeans.

What I love most about their denim is the fact that it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, and they honestly feel like you’re wearing a comfortable pair of tracksuit pants!

This particular pair have a super relaxed fit, and for once – aren’t too long on me either! I feel that the more I wear these, the more I’ll fall in love with them.

I have been an avid fan and lover of wearing Walnut Melbourne shoes ever since I bought my first pair in Bowral last year.

What I really like about their range is that they are on trend, super affordable and of incredible quality. The comfort factor is super high too!

Their leather slide, as pictured above, is a great alternative to the Gucci style we are seeing every second person wear – and I can see why, they literally go with everything, and are super easy to just slide on when every outfit.

So, what do you intend on wearing in autumn? Are you too going to try and incorporate more exciting colours, textures or styles?

Get the look!
